I have been suffering from anxiety from July 2016. Whenever I have to go out I fear my stomach will get upset so I avoid going out. I am aware about the fight or flight response of the body as if there is an event or a meeting some people develop a habit of having bowel movement before that. But in my case it is affecting my daily life. I got a job 3 years ago as it was work from home so I think that has worsened my case as I don't have the courage to go to office. I had consulted a homeopathic doctor of a government hospital and got treatment for 1 year in 2018 but to no effect. I then consulted a Gastroenterologist in 2019 he gave me some medicine which improved my digestive system and also an anxiety pill which gave me relief to some extent but again after a year around when I started having a gap of 1 or 2 days for the medicine I started having the issue I was suffering from. I want to know whether I have developed IBS and if there is treatment for the same.
