Based on your symptoms and short duration (3 days), this sounds like an acute anal fissure, not a chronic one. • Pain while sitting and after passing stools is typical • Sitz bath + Proctosedyl helps inflammation, but it does NOT relax the anal sphincter, which is the main reason pain persists • In the first 7–10 days, pain can remain significant even with ointments if stool remains hard or sphincter spasm continues
Health Tips
• High-fiber diet: fruits (papaya, pear), vegetables, oats • Drink 2.5–3 L water/day • Use a soft cushion while sitting • Avoid spicy food & alcohol temporarily • Do not overuse steroid creams (Proctosedyl should be limited) Anal fissure pain can feel unbearable, but the good news is: acute fissures heal very well with the right combination of medicines—usually within 2–3 weeks. If pain is still severe after 7–10 days despite proper treatment, a short online consultation can help fine-tune therapy and prevent it from becoming chronic. You don’t need to suffer through this—help is very much possible.

Dear Patient What you should do • Continue warm sitz bath 3 to 4 times daily for 10 to 15 minutes • Apply Proctosedyl after cleaning area and before sleep • Start stool softener like Lactulose syrup 15 to 20 ml at bedtime or Cremaffin Plus at night to keep stool soft • Take pain relief such as Tablet Zerodol SP or Combiflam after food if pain is severe (if no medical contraindication) • High fiber diet fruits vegetables oats and 2 to 3 liters water daily Better healing medicines often used • Topical Nitroglycerin 0.2% ointment or Nifedipine + Lidocaine gel helps relax sphincter and reduces pain faster • Stool softener is most important part of treatment Healing time within 7 to 14 days if stool remains soft. Consult me • Severe pain persists beyond 7 to 10 days • Bleeding increases • Constipation continues • You notice swelling (possible sentinel pile) Early proper treatment prevents chronic fissure and surgery. For detailed prescription and guidance you can text me on Practo anytime.

⸻ 3 din se pain ho raha hai to most likely acute anal fissure hai — isme main problem muscle spasm hota hai, sirf ointment lagane se turant relief nahi milta. Treatment ka focus stool soft rakhna + spasm relax karna hota hai: • Continue warm sitz bath 10–15 min, 2–3 times/day • Stool softener (lactulose/ispaghula husk) daily night — strain bilkul na karein • Apply lignocaine + nifedipine/diltiazem ointment before and after passing stool ( SMUTH CREAM) • Pain relief tablet after meals if required ( Tab Spasmodart/Spasmonil ) Proctosedyl sirf soothing deta hai, healing ke liye fissure-specific ointment zyada effective hota hai. Usually 1–2 weeks mein significant relief milta hai. Agar bleeding zyada ho, swelling aaye ya 3–4 weeks mein relief na mile to surgical evaluation required hota hai. High-fibre diet + water intake maintain rakhein. Aap chahein to detailed prescription ke liye consult kar sakte
