From your description, this most likely appears to be an acute anal fissure or superficial perianal skin injury, commonly caused by aggressive wiping/cleaning after toilet use. Small nail cuts and irritation can cause burning sensation, pain after bowel movement, and local inflammation. This is very common and usually not serious if treated early.
Next Steps
Local Care (Most Important) • Stop aggressive wiping immediately • Wash gently with water after stools; pat dry, do not rub • Warm sitz bath (plain warm water) 10–15 minutes, 2–3 times daily Medicines (General Guidance) • Topical fissure/anal ointment (pain-relieving + healing) applied externally after cleaning • If burning is severe, a mild anesthetic ointment before bowel movement can help • Use medicines only as advised by a doctor ⸻ Bowel Care • Continue high-fiber vegetarian diet • Increase water intake (very important) • Avoid straining and prolonged sitting on toilet • If stools are hard, a stool softener may be needed temporarily
Health Tips
What to Avoid • Soap, antiseptics, dettol, or alcohol-based cleaning • Repeated digital cleaning or scratching • Ignoring pain (delays healing)
