Hello, I am Dr. Romain Rajan, General Physician. I understand your concern. Your blood pressure 140/90 mmHg is mildly elevated, and your heart rate 90–100 bpm is slightly high. Your doctor has suggested: Amlodipine 2.5 mg (a calcium channel blocker for lowering BP) Metoprolol 25 mg (a beta-blocker to reduce heart rate and BP) General Advice: It is usually safe to take amlodipine in the morning. Metoprolol can be taken in the morning or evening depending on tolerance. Some patients take metoprolol 12.5 mg in the evening if advised to reduce heart rate without causing daytime fatigue. Important considerations: Monitor your blood pressure and heart rate daily. If you experience dizziness, lightheadedness, or unusually slow pulse (180/110 mmHg) You can connect with me on Practo or WhatsApp at 85271646 seven seven for a more personalized consultation. Best regards, Dr. Romain Rajan General Physician
