Frequent urination can be normal in exclusively breastfed infants, especially if baby is feeding well and active. If he is not crying while passing urine, has no fever, vomiting, foul-smelling urine, poor feeding, or decreased activity, it is usually not concerning.
Greetings
Frequent urination in a 3-month-old breastfed infant is generally normal as breast milk contains about 80% water.Healthy infants can urinate up to 20 times a day, occasionally clustering multiple voids within a single hour. The lack of crying or distress during urination is a positive sign that suggests there is no immediate pain or discomfort.Possible causes for sudden, increased frequency include high maternal fluid intake, efficient feeding, or an overactive bladder. You should evaluate three distinct possibilities, which include normal high fluid processing, a mild urinary tract infection, or bladder changes.
