Formula milk may not directly cause cold cough. Breast milk causes immunity from viral infections. Baby weight is good. Usually baby weight doubles birth weight by 3 months.

A weight of 6 kg at 3 months can be within the normal range depending on birth weight and growth pattern. Formula feeding does not directly cause cough or cold. Cough, cold, and fast breathing are usually due to viral infections or other respiratory conditions. However, feeding while lying flat can sometimes worsen reflux or aspiration symptoms. The most important issue here is the fast breathing. Please monitor for: • Chest indrawing (ribs pulling in) • Difficulty feeding • Bluish lips • Unusual sleepiness • Breathing rate persistently >60/min If any of these are present, or if your doctor has advised possible hospitalization, please get the baby re-evaluated promptly. Continue formula feeds as advised, keep the baby well hydrated, and feed in a semi-upright position. Formula feeding itself is not a reason for hospitalization.

I can understand the anxiety you’re facing through! your child was having cough and was prescribed medications. As per the proscription 8june last seen by doctor. If the child is still having similar complaints. And fast breathing along with some retractions (means deep breaths ) then you should definitely take the child to doctor again. Need not be worried much if symptoms have improved.

Greetings A weight of 6 kg is perfectly healthy and sits around the 25th to 50th percentile for a 3-month-old baby boy. Formula feeding itself does not cause a cold, though breast milk provides specific antibodies against respiratory tract infections. The reported fast breathing is consistent with common viral respiratory illnesses like bronchiolitis or croup.
