We have a 3 & 1/2 year old boy. Having cold for last 2 months. We saw the local doctor 3-4 times. Amoxicillin was prescribed but there was side effects at the end of the course like body rash. We took our boy to hospital and they figured it was viral that’s why antibiotic back fired. That was 2-3 week ago. We came back home and he is still coughing and thin mucus coming. We’re using Vicks baby, Bisolvon baby last whole week and panadol for temperatures. He is losing weight please kindly advise.

Use paracetamol for fever if required.
He's probably allergic, make sure that your house is dust, smoke and fume free.
Place your ear against his chest or back and if you hear whistling sounds in the breathing,he's asthmatic.
Consult your paediatrician for physical examination to rule out asthma
