11 months baby Having fever
Last month in May, my 11 months old daughter was having fever for more than a week. Later we did test and UTI infection was detected. Our pediatrician told to give Augmentin DDS and later we did KUB sonography and everything was normal. But now again she is having fever and symptoms of UTI. Should we start giving her Augmentin DDS? Is it safe to give antibiotics again? Please suggest

Get a urine routine and culture also done. Do not start antibiotics till both these reports are available. Till then, plenty of breast milk (or formula feeds), keep the area clean and give Paracetamol for the fever. For any queries, kindly book an online consultation with me. Hi      It looks like recurrent UTI which needs culture and sensitivity to be done and specific antibiotic to be given in full dose and duration. Moreover try training of washing motion from back instead of front which contaminates vagina and urethra. Hope this helps.
