Urgently consult physically with Pediatrician
There Big lump that could be due to lymphadenitis
You need to start Antibiotics course
It may require incision and drainage
Parotid swelling typically peaks at 1-3 days after onset and resolves in 7-10 days for most cases, though full recovery may take 2-3 weeks.
Next Steps
Rest and isolation for 5 days from parotid swelling onset to limit spread.
Acetaminophen or ibuprofen for pain.
Soft diet, avoiding acidic foods/juices; warm salt gargles; ice packs or warm compresses on swollen glands.
Hydration with plenty of fluids.
Health Tips
Complications like orchitis or pancreatitis prolong symptoms but rarely affect gland resolution time
Monitor for dehydration or secondary bacterial infection in infants. If vomiting, pain abdomen, not feeding well, consult a pediatrician.
if swelling increases in size or gets more red painful might need to think about another diagnosis - by consulting a nearby pediatrician
It may not be mumps. It maybe suppurative lymphadenitis, for which you have to give her proper antibiotic course for 14 days. If may also be an abscess, which requires incision and drainage. I would suggest antibiotic course and if not resolved even a bit after 7 days, then an ultrasound neck will be needed. If there is high fever, severe pain, swelling increasing rapidly, child not looking or feeding well, ear discharge, etc. then immediately take her to ER
