My mother (48 yrs) has been having leg symptoms for the last 2–3 months. She feels heaviness in both legs, tightness in the calf muscles, and a pulling-type pain above the knees, especially while walking or standing for some time. Pain increases at night and the legs feel very heavy in the morning.
On her legs, a few superficial veins are slightly visible (light bluish/green lines). These become more noticeable when her legs feel heavy. Sometimes mild swelling appears around the lower leg and ankle. Symptoms worsen with standing and improve with rest, lying down, or keeping the legs elevated.
We have already done CBC,
CRP,
thyroid test, and knee X-ray. X-ray was normal. CBC showed low hemoglobin. Thyroid is controlled with medication.
Multiple doctors have prescribed painkillers and muscle relaxants over the last months, but she has not received long-term relief.
Because of the heaviness, visible veins, swelling and standing-related worsening,
