After wisdom tooth extraction, pain is usually highest for 2–3 days. It gradually reduces within 5–7 days.
Complete healing of the socket takes about 2–3 weeks.
If pain is severe, increasing after 3–4 days, or associated with bad smell or swelling, consult your dentist to rule out dry socket.
Mild to moderate pain for a few days is normal.

Pain after surgical removal of wisdom teeth takes a couple of days to start settling down.
But if it is unbearable,please get it checked to see if any infection has set in or clot dislodgement has caused dry socket which causes excruciating pain and will need a dressing.
