Pain and swelling around wisdom tooth is often noted around partially erupted tooth owing to a localised infection.
Would recommend to start tepid salt water rinses.
Visiting the nearest Oral Surgeon/ Dentist would be recommended.

This looks like wisdom tooth infection (pericoronitis).
Immediate relief can be given with painkillers like Tab Enzoflam, antibiotics (if required), and cleaning under the gum flap. However, this is a recurring problem definitive solution is removal of the wisdom tooth after the infection subsides.

If this is the first time you've encountered this pain, try warm saline rinses to clean that area.
It ll ease out discomfort.
Extreme pain and swelling will require pain killer and antibiotics both for atleast 5days.
Next Steps

Hi mam,
kindly visit a dentist as soon as possible. as per your explanation the swelling and pain ca be because of some infection. over the counter medicines may not help you totally. you may require some antibiotics. in the mean time when you are visiting the dentist you can do warm salt water rinses, and also do remember plz dont apply any balm or heat or cld from outside the swelling.

Immediate relief can be achieved with warm water + salt rinsing, painkillers like Tab Combiflam , betadine gargle with water equal part twice a day for 7 days and antibiotics .

The swelling around wisdom tooth is also called as pericoronitis due to partially erupted tooth. This condition is recurring in nature if not treated- the treatment is removal of the wisdom tooth after radiographic investigation.
Next Steps
You need to start with antibiotics like Tab. Augmentin 625mg, analgesics Tab Enzoflam as well as maintenance of oral hygiene to support faster recovery. Adding soft diet also helps.
