Pain and swelling around wisdom tooth is often noted around partially erupted tooth owing to a localised infection.
Would recommend to start tepid salt water rinses.
Visiting the nearest Oral Surgeon/ Dentist would be recommended.

This looks like wisdom tooth infection (pericoronitis).
Immediate relief can be given with painkillers like Tab Enzoflam, antibiotics (if required), and cleaning under the gum flap. However, this is a recurring problem definitive solution is removal of the wisdom tooth after the infection subsides.

kindly visit a dentist as soon as possible. as per your explanation the swelling and pain ca be because of some infection. over the counter medicines may not help you totally. you may require some antibiotics. in the mean time when you are visiting the dentist you can do warm salt water rinses, and also do remember plz dont apply any balm or heat or cld from outside the swelling.
