As you can probably see from her statistics, my wife is extremely overweight. Her PCOD makes her gain a lot of weight. She is already facing knee and other issues due to her weight. She does not over eat but is extremely lethargic and easily tired. Her schedule and job adds to the sedentary lifestyle. Please advise.

She needs to take high fiber low fat diet followed by detox diet. Drink lot of water everyday. Take small and frequent meals at regular intervals .Avoid outside food completely. Ask me directly for customized diet plan for her.

Hi, The only cause of PCOD is bad lifestyle and the only cure is lifestyle correction.You can start exercising at least for 45 minutes a day, along with which simple tips to modify your diet would help you out. Increase the intake of 1st class protein coming from low fat milk and milk products and other animal sources. Include complex carbohydrates and fiber coming from whole grain cereals and pulses, bran of cereals, etc. Reduce the intake of processed foods, bakery items, sugars, etc. Also avoid the intake of oils, butter, ghee and other visible fat sources, rather intake the invisible sources coming from nuts and oil seeds.

Hi..Diet and lifestyle management is very important when it's the case off over weight induced because of PCOD. High protein, moderate carbs,high fibre and fluid with combination of some moderate excercise routine like walking will help her to reduce weight and manage PCOD. Weight reduction is a gradual process and if not taken care can lead to many other Lifestyle based disorders like diabetes, cholesterol,fatty liver etc.
