My Vitamin D levels are low (currently 23). I have been taking Vitamin D 60,000 IU supplements under a doctor’s supervision for around 6 months with gaps in between, but my levels have still not increased much and remain almost the same.
Can anyone suggest what further course of action may help? Should I check for any absorption issues, calcium, B12, magnesium, or other related problems?

Vitamin D levels sometimes take time to improve, and persistent low levels can happen due to absorption issues, lifestyle factors or associated deficiencies 👍
Nothing to panic, but since supplementation hasn’t improved the levels much, a proper evaluation would help identify the exact reason and correct it effectively. You can book a consultation, I’ll guide you step by step 😊

A Vitamin D level that remains stagnant at 23 ng/ml despite high-dose (60,000 IU) supplementation suggests a Malabsorption Syndrome or a lack of essential Co-factors. Vitamin D does not work in isolation; it requires Magnesium and Vitamin K2 to be properly activated and absorbed. Furthermore, since Vitamin D is fat-soluble, taking it on an empty stomach or with a low-fat meal often results in the supplement simply passing through the system without being absorbed into the bloodstream."
