The Vitamin B12 level is 82 pg/mL, which is significantly low. Normal levels are usually above 200–250 pg/mL. Such low B12 levels can lead to symptoms like tiredness, weakness, body aches, numbness or tingling in hands and feet, poor concentration, mood changes, and sometimes anemia or nerve-related issues. Even if symptoms are mild now, treatment is important to prevent future nerve damage.
Your Vitamin D3 level is 13 ng/mL, which indicates deficiency. Low vitamin D commonly causes muscle pain, back pain, bone discomfort, low energy, and reduced immunity.
Both deficiencies are very common and completely treatable.
Recommended supplementation:
For Vitamin D3, take Cholecalciferol 60,000 IU once weekly for 6–8 weeks, followed by a maintenance dose of 60,000 IU once monthly or 1,000–2,000 IU daily, as advised by your doctor.
For Vitamin B12, supplementation is also required, either as high-dose oral tablets or injections, depending on symptoms and clinical assessment.
Dietary measures and sunlight exposure help support recovery, but with levels this low, medication is necessary to restore normal levels.
With proper supplementation and follow-up, these deficiencies usually correct well and symptoms improve over a few weeks.
Good luck and do contact in case of any doubt!
Both values are low and need treatment. Low B12 can cause fatigue, tingling, memory issues. Low Vitamin D can cause body pain, weakness, low immunity.
Next Steps
Rx:
Tab Methylcobalamin 1500 mcg once daily × 3 months
Cap Vitamin D3 60,000 IU once weekly × 8 weeks, then once monthly
Balanced diet; repeat levels after 3 months
Oooo
It's too low.
Oral
Uprise d60k once a week for eight weeks followed by one per month for six months a complete therapy by WHO. Vit d3
Tab neurokind od one at night after dinner for three months.
Or
Inj neurobion forte one ample intramuscular in gluteal reason alternate day for five injection followed by one biweekly for three inj.
You need to increase - 1st sun exposure daily atleast 30 min for Vit D3 (it is naturally made by body) and for vit B12 I need to ask are you a pure vegetarian?? If yes you need diet rich in vit B12 (spinach, legumes and to enhance good bacteria in gut which synthesise Vit B12 take more of curd ) and avoid unnecessary medications and antibiotics.
You will be all right all you need to change is your lifestyle and eating habits
Both the levels are very low so treatment is needed for both. Although Vitamin d deficiency is very prevalent in India due to lifestyle changes but vitamin b12 deficiency is concerning. Dietary modifications are needed along with supplements. Kindly consult for further assistance.
These values are not normal, b12 is very low.
Both Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D3 deficiencies require treatment. Please consult me on practo for further management.
As per results b12 and d3 very low
Take diet rich in calcium and b12
B12 - • Milk (especially toned or full cream)
• Curd / yogurt
• Paneer
• Cheese
• Eggs (especially the yolk)
The values when veiwed solely are abnormal. But we must look at the whole picture - Do you have any symptoms like fatigue , shortness of breath or tinglingling senstation in feet -may be due to low vitamin b12 causing anemia and neuropathy. If yes then it warrents urgent treatment with IV/IM vitamin D otherwise oral tablets is fine.
Vitamin D is almost deficient in almost 80% indian population so it is less almarming can be fixed with tablet if there is no bone pain or recent history of fractures.
Next Steps
For vitamin D = Cap Uprise D3 60,000 units once a week immediately after meals for 12 weeks.
For Vitamin B12 = if you have any alarming symptoms then get a consultation from a doctor.
if none if the alarming symptoms are there then Tab ME12 once a day for 12 weeks.
Also you need to work on your diet if you are non vegetarian increase Vit b12 intake via eggs(3-4 times a week 1 to 2) and chicken or fish (1 to 2 times a week). The options are limited for vegetarian but dairy products can help.
