Very High Fever
My daughter, 25 yrs have very high fever, 104.7 F today morning, Shivering and cough. What can be done immediately to lower her fever.

Hi dear 104 is quiet high so if it's persistently this high then u might need iv paracetamol Try taking dolo 650 three times a day and do cold sponging if temperature is above 101 But if it's persisting then better to admit her and do the required tests to find out the cause of fever Take care

1 gm of paracetamol (15mg/kg) every 6 hours Cool room environment ,and cold sponging over forhead ,arm pits and both groins Keep Drinking normal water with room temperature

Immediately she needs a tablet of Paracetamol (after she has eaten something, maybe a biscuit) . In addition she needs cold sponging to bring the temperature down to 100° F. She should be in a cool room with cross ventilation. No unnecessary coverings for her body. Look after her hydration. If you can organise, get some Lab technician to take her blood samples for CBC and Malaria antigen.
