Utine culture shows ECOLI ESBL
My son was admitted to the hospital 5 days ago due to fever he was given antibiotics and was discharged on wednesday as there was no fever since tuesday night, urine culture report came on thursday and there was presence of Ecoli (ESBL) for which doctor has prescribed syp Taxim o forte and injection Amikacin, since friday when he was given injection in morning he has been getting fever 100-101 We have given him calpol to control fever Is it due to infection or injection being given that fever is coming because till the time injection was given he was not getting fever for 2. As per the culture sensitivity report the organism is sensitive to amikacin so the other antibiotic may be held up. Minor fever is possible with injectables.Needs follow up if injection site is ok . I think you already put this culture report few days back... Sometimes due to intracath or IM injection child might get fever...
