At 13 months, a head circumference of 48 cm is within the upper normal range, especially if the baby’s development, activity, and milestones are normal. Weight 9.7 kg and height 77.5 cm are also acceptable for age. Some children naturally have a slightly larger head due to family traits.
Next Steps
• whether head size is increasing too rapidly,
• developmental delay,
• vomiting, seizures, irritability, abnormal eye movements, or poor feeding.
If none of these are present and milestones are normal, usually there is no immediate concern. Kindly continue regular growth monitoring with your pediatrician.
Hello,
His head circumference is absolutely normal according to his age and gender
Normal head circumference At birth is- 34-35cms
Grows 2cm/ month for 1-3 months
1cm/month for 3-6months
0.5cm/month for 6-12months
By the end it should grow-12cms
So at 1year it should be 46cms
So your child is absolutely fine
