You may need to consult a psychiatrist for medications to help with sleep. Since you are already on antidepressants, it would be best to discuss your insomnia with your treating doctor. Alternatively, you can consult me as well.
In the meantime, you can try the following sleep hygiene measures:
-Use your bed only for sleep, and avoid other activities like using your phone or watching TV in bed
-Avoid daytime naps, especially in the afternoon
-Avoid screen time at least 1 hour before bedtime; instead, engage in relaxing activities like reading or listening to calming music
-Avoid caffeine after 5 pm
-Have a light, non-heavy snack if needed before bed, and avoid large meals late at night
-Take a warm shower and wear comfortable clothing before going to bed
-Try to maintain a fixed wake-up time every day, even if your sleep is disturbed
-If your sleep cycle is delayed, gradually shift your schedule earlier by 15–30 minutes every few days
-If you are unable to fall asleep within about 20 minutes, get out of bed and do a relaxing activity until you feel sleepy again
Since you are taking nexito 15 that means you are already going through something. There must be some overthinking or ruminations when you go to bed. That's why you must be avoiding going to bed. If that's the case cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia will help you. Also you can start switching off your phone around 1 hour before the targeted time of sleeping. Then do some light reading and just go to bed. Support is there. I provide online consultation and therapy support, you can contact me directly on nine eight two six five four five six six zero for detailed evaluation and assessment for delaying to go to bed.
It sounds really frustrating to have your sleep cycle shifted like this, especially when you feel sleepy but can’t fall asleep.
This can happen due to multiple reasons—like stress, routine changes, or sleep–wake rhythm issues. Since you’re already on Nexito, it’s important not to try medications on your own.
It would be best to consult a psychiatrist so the exact cause can be identified and managed properly. You can also consult me if you’d like—nine three two seven one eight four seven six seven.
