Hi Sir/Mam,
I had typhoid fever from 15th Jan 2026 and titre was 1:320. After taking IV injections for 12 dose and followed by 5 days of oral antibiotics it is treated well.
By 24th Jan my fever has stopped, there is no fever/loose motion after that.
1st 10 days I have taken only watery foods.
After that had taken moong dal related foods without spice or oil.
From last week started with coconut chutney without spice and sambar without oil and spice.
It is almost 45 days without fever now, can I start with mild spice and mild oil related home made foods?. What fruits to take?.
I need to go for office 3 days per week, can I start?

After 45 days and no fever, you can start normal home food with mild spice and little oil gradually.
Fruits like banana, apple, papaya, pomegranate are safe.
You can start office if you feel well, but avoid heavy exertion initially. Consult a doctor if weakness persists.

Since it has been 45 days without fever, recovery from typhoid appears complete. Gradually returning to a normal diet is acceptable.
Diet:
You can start mild spices and small amounts of oil in home-made food. Begin slowly with easily digestible foods like rice, dal, idli, soft chapati, vegetable khichdi, curd, and boiled vegetables. Avoid very spicy, oily, fried, or outside food for another 2–3 weeks.
Fruits:
Safe fruits include banana, apple (preferably stewed initially), papaya, pomegranate, chikoo, and sweet orange. Start in small quantities and see tolerance.
Work:
If there is no weakness, fever, abdominal pain, or loose motions, she can gradually resume office work. Starting with 3 days per week is reasonable, but adequate rest and hydration should be maintained.
If any fever recurrence, abdominal pain, vomiting, or weakness occurs, review with a physician.
Hello.
Since it has been around 45 days without fever after typhoid treatment, you can gradually return to a normal home diet if you are feeling well and have no abdominal pain or loose motions.
Next steps:
You may start mildly spiced and lightly oiled home-cooked food in small portions. Gradually increase variety over the next 1–2 weeks.
You can include:
• Soft rice, roti, dal, khichdi
• Boiled or lightly cooked vegetables
• Eggs, paneer, curd, or other light protein foods
Fruits you can take:
• Banana
• Apple (peeled)
• Papaya
• Pomegranate
Helpful tips:
• Avoid very spicy, fried, or heavy oily foods for a few more weeks
• Maintain good hydration and balanced diet
• If you feel abdominal pain, weakness, or digestive discomfort, reduce heavy foods and seek review
You may gradually resume office work if your energy levels are good. If weakness or digestive symptoms persist, a clinical review may be helpful.
Since you had **Typhoid Fever in January and have been fever-free for about 45 days, it indicates that the infection has resolved and your recovery is progressing well. After appropriate antibiotic treatment and this long symptom-free period, most patients can gradually return to a normal diet and routine.
Your digestive system may still be slightly sensitive after the illness, which is why foods were restricted earlier, but at this stage it is generally safe to slowly reintroduce mild spices and small amounts of oil in home-cooked food.
Next Steps
• You can start mild homemade foods with light spices and small quantities of oil.
• Introduce new foods gradually rather than all at once to ensure digestion remains comfortable.
• You may resume office work if you feel your energy levels are adequate.
• If you experience abdominal pain, loose stools, fever, or significant fatigue again, consult a doctor and consider repeat blood tests.
Health Tips
• Good fruits during recovery include banana, papaya, apple, pomegranate, and sweet lime, as they are easy to digest.
• Avoid very spicy, fried, or street foods for another couple of weeks.
• Maintain good hydration and balanced meals with protein (dal, eggs, curd, etc.) to rebuild strength.
• Ensure adequate rest and gradual increase in physical activity when returning to work.

Yes, home made very little spice and less oily is completely fine. 3 weeks is crucial. You have passed that. Initially may be some gut issues but very mild. If you have anything severe may consult. But overall it should be okay.
