My 2 year son has been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes......me and my wife have no family history for this type of illness.............is it curable

Family history is not necessary for type 1 diabetes. Diabetes whether type 1 or 2 is not curable, however can be controlled with appropriate treatment. Type 1 diabetes requires insulin to achieve control. You should not attempt alternate therapies without your diabetologist's advice.
