If you have heard of swarnaprashana just administer these drops early morning empty stomach. It is a very good immune booster. It is given to improve immunity for repeated cold and cough in kids. It is given in ayurveda clinics each month on the day of pushya nakshatra. Even bottles are available in my clinic. Also chyavanaprasha can be given.
Tulsi will definitely help in getting rid of the current episode of cold, but for recurring episodes, try to improve his immunity by giving wholesome diet. Taking Chyavanprash will help him greatly. No need to boil tulsi leaves. Haldi milk is ok. How are you giving honey?
For every condition of rhinitis tulasi is not beneficial.
