Hello,
You took Etifoxine 100 mg for only 10 days. At this short duration, tapering is usually not necessary, and you have not caused any permanent harm by stopping it suddenly.
Etifoxine does not cause dangerous withdrawal like benzodiazepines. What you are experiencing now is most likely anxiety-driven fear and overthinking, not true withdrawal. At most, some people may feel temporary anxiety, restlessness, or uneasiness, which settles on its own.
Next Steps
- No need to restart Toficalm or taper unless symptoms are severe
- Avoid Googling withdrawal stories (it worsens anxiety)
- Use non-medicine strategies: sleep routine, breathing exercises, CBT if needed
- If anxiety persists beyond 1–2 weeks, consult a psychiatrist for guidance

Hi..Toficalm usually doesn’t cause withdrawal, but we can stop it gradually if needed for comfort. Consult online for further questions regarding the same
Stopping Toficam (topiramate) after 10 days, even at 100 mg, is unlikely to cause harmful withdrawal or permanent damage. Tapering is mainly needed after long-term use or in people with epilepsy to prevent seizures.
What you’re experiencing sounds more like anxiety and anticipatory fear, not true withdrawal.
If you have no seizures, severe confusion, or neurological symptoms, you’re safe.
If symptoms like anxiety, restlessness, or low mood persist, consult your doctor for reassurance or short-term support.
