Tinnitus ringing
There is constant shrill ringing sound in ears (feels like from inner ear) since few years. Though my hearing is fine. No pain, pus, or other symptoms. Is there anything in Ayurveda that can help? Thanks

Thanks for explaining it clearly 🙏 What you’re describing is **very typical of chronic tinnitus** — and yes, **Ayurveda can help**, especially since your **hearing is still normal** (that’s a very good sign). I’ll explain **honestly** what can improve and what to expect. --- ## What this is (Ayurvedic understanding) Constant shrill ringing without infection or hearing loss = **Karna Nada / Karna Kshweda** Root causes in Ayurveda: * **Vata predominance** (most important) * Mild **Pitta involvement** (shrill, high-pitched sound) * Long-term stress, poor sleep, overthinking * Past exposure to noise, anemia, neck stiffness, jaw tension This is **functional**, not structural — so **manageable**. --- ## Can Ayurveda cure it completely? ✔️ **Many patients get significant reduction** (60–80%) ✔️ Some get complete silence ⚠️ Chronic cases take **time and consistency** Goal: * Calm Vata * Nourish nerve tissue * Improve inner-ear circulation --- ## Best Ayurvedic Treatment (SAFE & STANDARD) ### 🌿 1️⃣ **Karna Purana (ear oiling) – MOST IMPORTANT** Use **warm ***Taila or ***Taila** **How:** * 3–4 drops in each ear * At night * Lie on side 5 min each * **Daily or at least 5 days/week** This alone helps many people. --- ### 🌿 2️⃣ ******* * 1 tablet **twice daily after meals** Calms Vata, reduces nerve hypersensitivity. --- ### 🌿 3️⃣ ******Vati** * 1 tablet **twice daily after meals** Supports auditory nerve & mind. --- ### 🌿 4️⃣ *****Kwath** (or capsules if decoction not possible) * 15 ml twice daily **before food** * If capsules: as per label Reduces Vata from neck & head region. --- ## Duration ⏳ **8–12 weeks minimum** Improvement is usually: * Gradual * Less intensity * Less awareness of sound * Better sleep --- ## VERY IMPORTANT lifestyle tips (often ignored) ### ❌ Avoid * Earphones / loud noise * Excess tea / coffee * Late nights * Fasting ### ✅ Do * Warm oil head massage 2–3×/week * Gentle neck stretching * Regular sleep timing --- ## When to get further tests If not done already, **at least once**: * Pure Tone Audiometry (PTA) * Hb level (anemia worsens tinnitus) * Thyroid profile (if fatigue present) --- ## Final reassurance 🌿 Because: * No hearing loss * No discharge or pain * Long-standing but stable 👉 This is **very suitable for Ayurvedic management**. If you want, tell me: * Any neck pain or jaw clenching? * Sleep quality? * Anxiety / stress level? I can **refine the plan specifically for you** 🌸 Advice- self medication is hazardous, always consult ayurvedic doctor before taking ayurvedic medicine. Consult me personally for details

Ayurvedic Line of Treatment 1. Internal Medicines (to be taken only after consultation) Ashwagandha churna – 3–5 g with warm milk at night (Vāta-shāmaka, nervine tonic) Brahmi vati / Saraswatarishta – improves nerve function Yogaraj Guggulu – if associated with neck stiffness, cervical spondylosis Dashmool kwath – Vāta pacifying Bilva tail / Kshirabala 101 – useful in chronic cases 2. Karna Purana (Ear Oil Therapy) ⭐ Most important Kshirabala taila or Bilva taila 2–3 lukewarm drops in affected ear Once daily for 7–14 days Do under guidance, especially if eardrum status is unknown 3. Panchakarma Therapies (Highly effective) Nasya – Anu taila / Kshirabala taila Shirodhara – for stress-induced tinnitus Abhyanga (oil massage) – especially head, neck & shoulders Basti therapy – in chronic Vāta disorders 🧘 Yoga & Lifestyle Bhramari Pranayama (very helpful) Anulom-Vilom Avoid loud noise, earphones Manage stress & anxiety Adequate sleep 🍽️ Dietary Advice ✅ Warm, unctuous foods ❌ Avoid dry, cold, excessive tea/coffee ❌ Avoid fasting & late nights ⚠️ When to be cautious If tinnitus is sudden, unilateral, or with hearing loss/vertigo, rule out ENT causes first. If associated with high BP, anemia, cervical issues, treat the root cause. If you want, I can: Suggest a customized Ayurvedic prescription Correlate tinnitus with BP / anxiety / cervical spondylosis Provide a 7-day treatment protocol Just tell me 🌿

Namastey Considering your age and nature of disease, this could be due to auditory nerve involvement which usually considered as Vata dosha disorder. Also the hygiene of your ear canal along either any past history of chronic cold or cough should be checked. Usually nutritional deficiency is the cause behind And that’s why various Panchakarma treatments like karnapooran, abhyanga etc are used for it’s management.
Next Steps
