Sharp pain in beginning of throat region(right after the uvula and deep for next few inches). Pain is so intense, I woke from my sleep last night. swollowing food is difficult(sharp pain at that region). With my tongue, I can feel pores at that region. Neck feels a bit heated up. When I saw using a torch, I could see mucus attached to the upper region, which I could spit out(but painful)
Is this usual throat infection or anything else, I'm a bit scared.

You seem to be suffering from acute pharyngo-tonsillitis which is a common type of throat infection. You may need to take antibiotics and painkillers along with antiseptic mouth gargle for few days for faster recovery
