This is most suggestive of acid reflux / post-nasal drip / throat dryness, not infection. Rx: Tab Pantoprazole 40 mg once daily (empty stomach) × 14 days Tab Levocetirizine 5 mg at night × 7 days Warm salt-water gargles Avoid late-night meals, smoking, spicy food. If cough persists >2 weeks or you have weight loss/fever, evaluation is needed. Consult a General Physician like me via Practo if symptoms persist.

Well a cough for more than 1 month is quite concerning. One of the most common causes in India can be TB especially if it is associated with weight loss ,loss of appetite and low grade evening fever , and blood/blackish sputum Other possibilities include GERD , Sinusitis , and OSA(it may lead to moth breathing and dry out the throat leading to cough - weight is also 98kgs) Either way more history and basic investigations are required before we can procede.
