Swelling of foot
Sir,A 40 year old man has had swelling in his right foot for a month. He has no fever but pain. X-ray film and blood test report have been given. Advice is requested. Thanks. NB. Sugar R 128mg/dl.CRP 1.60. uric acid 6.10 mg/dl.

X-ray and blood test are normal. Clinically exact site of swelling, tenderness has to be evaluated. Need to do a few blood tests as well. Must need a physical consultation.

As such the xray and investigations appear to be normal. However need to look at the clinical picture of the foot preferably a finger pointing towards where exactly the pain is. Any history of trauma or twisting injury ?
