My mother got hurt by the door latch. The bleeding wasn't stopping due to blood thinners. We showed her at AIIMS, they gave one stitch but there is swelling around the eye. AIIMS didn't give any medicine, nor did they check the file.
What medicine can we give for the swelling (considering she's a cardiac patient)? And should we give Augmentin or zifi 200?

Hello there,
This seems to be a superficial cut which they have already sutured/stitched so there is no need to cover the wound with dressing. Just keep local hygiene and wash with water. Regarding the swelling it is black eye which occurs due to collection of blood below the eyelid. There is no need for any medication to relieve it as it will subside on its own.
Please do go for followup to get the sutures removed after few days

Plz take her to the emergency if swelling is there, some blood test needs to be done including coagulation profile, she might need some medications to reduce swelling can be confirmed after clinical examination
