Meftal Spas contains Mefenamic Acid and Dicyclomine. Mefenamic Acid is not safe to use during the third trimester of pregnancy. Use of NSAID during the third trimester of pregnancy may cause premature closure of the fetal ductus arteriosus. Dicyclomine is pregnancy category B. there is no randomized study in pregnant women to demonstrate that the recommended doses (80-160mg/day) are harmless to the fetus.
