My son who is 7 years old is frequently saying that stomach is paining. Pain area is exactly at belly button. But he is taking food normally. Last month he has severe stomach infection vomiting so we took USG abdomen scan which I have attached here.
What may be the reason for his frequent stomach ache.

Your son's USG report shows mesenteric lymphadenitis â which means the lymph nodes in the belly are swollen, likely as a result of the recent stomach infection. This is a very common cause of recurring periumbilical (belly button area) pain in children after a gut infection, and it can persist for several weeks after the initial illness. The good news is that all other organs appear normal on the scan.
