Steriods cause or heighten Aboulia?
I don't believe I have Aboulia right now (I'm antisocial and generally depressed but not to any crazy extent). However, a month ago I had to take steroids for an infection and I can say without a doubt I did then ( I couldn't make a decision to do anything more than breath and eat and I freaked out my mother as I seemed to have no emotion). My question is could the steroids I was taking causing it or would it have to be a pre-existing condition?

Steroid can cause lots of thing... But they are given only when it is absolutely needed.. And they are given for specific duration and gradually tapered off..
