Sore Throat
Hi. I am have soar throat from past one month or so. I don't have any travel history. I smoke, is that the reason for it?

It's quite common to have sore throat in this season because of change in weather. Smoking definitely increases the chances and also it might prolong the throat infection. Now we all are worried because of rampant COVID 19 pandemic. If you didn't travelled to foreign countries and not having contact with any suspected or confirmed cases of Corona virus , not be worried. Even some one hot Corona Virus in 80 -90 percentage will be cleared of virus spontaneously with or with out treatment. If some one is having severe cough, fever and short of breath for more than 5-7 days need to be concerned and get tested for COVID 19.

Hello , smoking , eating oily spicy food can be reason for sore throat ... You need to make lifestyle changes and some food restrictions are three ... There is list of food to be taken & to be avoided . Some medications also to be taken ... Can’t advise medicines on this message , Please chat or do audio consultation...will advise accordingly
