If it is not protected exposure and with unknown person continue pep for 28days and get tested with
1)HIV NAT test after 28 days
2)multiplex PCR std (blood&urine) now itself
3)hsv antibodies after 3months
A pimple-like lesion on the penis without other body symptoms is very nonspecific and unlikely to be due to HIV, though a detailed history and physical examination are needed for proper diagnosis. Post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) for HIV is usually recommended for 28 days; stopping after 6 days makes it less effective. PEP should always be taken under a doctor’s prescription and supervision. You have also not mentioned the type of exposure, which is important in assessing risk.
Next Steps
For all these doubts, you should consider having a one-on-one consultation with a physician (general medicine) , and for the lesion on your penis, you should consult a dermatologist if the lesion persists. HIV testing at regular intervals (baseline / 6 weeks/ 3 months after exposure or PEP should be considered)
HIV has many symptoms, signs and associations. But these are not evident for a long time after exposure. You cannot say you are positive by looking at such symptoms. Best thing that you did was to start POST EXPOSURE PROPHYLAXIS as soon as you came to know that you were exposed to someone whose status is positive.
Next Steps
Please consult me further via practo for further management.
