You should get an MRI done of the knee to see if there is any cartilage defect. For the symptomatic treatment, I have written a nice article about home based remedies for joint pain relief. You can search it on https://mindyourheath.com/
Next Steps

It sounds like you are experiencing chronic knee pain and some other symptoms that are related to your menstrual cycle. Knee pain can be caused by a variety of factors, such as injury, overuse, arthritis, or other underlying medical conditions. Since you have already tried medication, it may be helpful to visit an orthopedic specialist who can perform a thorough examination, order imaging tests if necessary, and provide a proper diagnosis and treatment plan. They may recommend physical therapy, corticosteroid injections, or other non-surgical interventions to manage your pain and improve your knee function. Regarding the correlation between your menstrual cycle and symptoms, hormonal changes during your menstrual cycle can cause changes in fluid retention, which can lead to swelling in your feet and possibly your knee joints. Additionally, hormonal fluctuations can also contribute to changes in pain perception. It would be a good idea to discuss these symptoms with your gynecologist, who can provide you with appropriate treatment options. In the meantime, try to rest your knees as much as possible, and apply ice or heat to the affected area as needed. Gentle stretching exercises and low-impact activities like swimming or cycling may also be helpful in managing your knee pain.

Knee pain while trying to sit and bend knee suggests that the cartilage on undersurface of knee is getting eroded.. This causes pain..The pain killer medicine will stop this pain but the problem won't be solved..
