Scalp dryness and dandruff

My daughter is 2 months. Recently I noticed red rashes on her cheeks - looked like dryness to me. I started applying Johnson baby cream plus little olive oil. It is improving. But now she has some flakes on scalp. If I use fingers it comes off. Looks like dandruff. Should I apply oil or give her head bath daily? Also is olive oil plus cream okay for skin.
