Hello, It’s concerning to see your blood pressure reading at 170/110, especially at your young age of 28. This level of hypertension requires immediate attention, as it poses significant risks to your heart, kidneys, and overall health. Here’s my advice:  1. Medication Adherence: The prescribed Kavheart 50 is likely necessary to bring your BP under control promptly. Whether you’ll need it lifelong depends on further evaluation, including tests to rule out secondary causes (e.g., kidney issues, hormonal imbalances).  2. Anxiety Management: Since stress and anxiety can spike BP, restarting your psychiatric medication as advised is crucial. Untreated anxiety can exacerbate hypertension.  3. Lifestyle Modifications:     - Reduce salt intake, avoid processed foods.     - Exercise regularly (30 mins/day, brisk walking/yoga).     - Limit caffeine/alcohol and quit smoking if applicable.  4. Monitoring: Check BP twice daily (morning/evening) for 1–2 weeks. If readings remain >140/90 despite medication, seek urgent follow-up.  Important: Hypertension at your age isn’t typical and warrants a thorough workup. Self-management is risky.  **Consultation Needed**: Please schedule a consultation with me for a personalized plan. Keep monitoring your BP for a few days twice daily. If the readings are constantly above normal you may need antihypertensive as your BP is quite high.To prevent cardiovascular, renal and cerebrovascular complications medicines may be needed for a long time.
