It may be due to over stretching of muscle in gym or weight bearing etc...so you have to take muscle relaxatant medicine for relief from pain .... pregabalin would not help a lot...
Next Steps

Hello, I am Dr. Romain Rajan, General Physician (Ex Govt Medical Officer at RML Hospital, New Delhi), and your case has been allotted to me. Thank you for explaining your symptoms clearly. I understand how persistent abdominal pain can be uncomfortable and worrying. Based on what you have described, pain in the rectus abdominal area during the day that improves at night while lying down is most commonly musculoskeletal in origin, rather than a problem with internal organs. Most likely reasons • Rectus muscle strain or spasm due to posture, long sitting, bending, or sudden movements • Core muscle fatigue or weakness • Trigger point pain in the abdominal wall • Stress related muscle tension The fact that pain reduces at night and responds to pregabalin supports a nerve or muscle related cause, not a serious abdominal disease. Important point about pregabalin Pregabalin can reduce pain temporarily, but it is not the best long term solution for this type of pain and should not be used frequently without guidance. Better ways to get rid of the pain (with or without medicines) Without medicines • Avoid prolonged sitting and slouching • Correct posture while working and driving • Gentle abdominal stretching exercises • Apply warm compress or hot water bag twice daily • Avoid sudden twisting or heavy lifting • Practice core strengthening gradually once pain reduces With short term medical support • Simple pain relievers or muscle relaxants may help temporarily • Physiotherapy is often more effective than medicines for long term relief When to consult a doctor immediately • If pain becomes severe or constant • If pain is associated with vomiting, fever, weight loss, or bowel changes • If there is visible swelling or a lump in the abdomen • If pain worsens at night or wakes you from sleep At present, your symptoms do not suggest anything dangerous, but they do need proper evaluation and correction of the underlying muscle issue. A one to one consultation allows examination of the abdominal wall, confirmation of diagnosis, and a targeted plan to get rid of the pain rather than masking it. For personalised one to one consultation and guidance, you can reach out to me on WhatsApp at 85271646 seven seven. Wishing you comfort and good health.

Do not self medicate at any cost. Consult a general physician at your earliest convenience to find out the cause of cramps/pain in the abdomen

Your symptoms most likely come from the abdominal wall (muscle or nerve) rather than internal organs. With rest, posture correction, and local care, many people improve within days to weeks. Please consult for further management.
