Profound hearing loss in left ear

Asked for Male, 27 Years

I have a profound hearing loss in my left ear and I guess it's from birth. I recently had a check up with a local ENT doctor and they suggested a hearing aid but even with that hearing aid I just feel sensation of sound but can't understand. I am really not sure about this treatment and want to get a second opinion over it.

please consult an ENT surgeon who does cochlear implants. if hearing loss is since birth I dont think much can be done.
