Hearing loss due to nose blowing
Iam on cough treatment . I was prescribed dunnose nasal drops and foracart400 synchrobreath along with Monteck LC tablets.from 1stapril 26. On Friday while blowing my nose bymistake I blowed little hard. I felt something in m year like some air being blown inside my ear. After that my hearing is reduced . Please advice some medicine or process so that hearing can be regained.

Severe blowing of nose may result in eustachian tube blockage or your ear drum might have ruptured , so u may get feeling of air entry into ear

Hi , Because of cold there will fluid that is mucous thats collected behind your eardrum called tympanic membrane. When you did Valsalva the fluid entered the tube btw nose n ear . Because of this there might be decreased hearing because of fluid. But you should also rule out sudden sensorineural hearing loss due viral aetiology and other and cause sudden hearing loss . If you feel there is discharge from your ear then there might be perforation.

Pure tone audiometry this will help to differentiate from sudden hearing loss and is there fluid in middle ear . Antihistamine, mucolitics and nose drops n steam will help you out . Better to visit ENT clinic for examination

Hello, due to forceful blowing of nose you seem to have blocked your eustachian tube ( barotrauma)

ur symptoms sounds like this is eushtachian tube dysfunction due to cold and cough , firstly u should start taking steam from nose before the spray and start on some anti inflammatory for 5 days
