Dear Patient, Based on the details you shared, the risk of HIV from your sexual exposures is very low: 1. First sexual encounter with a sex worker: condom was used and did not break – risk is extremely low. 2. Second encounter: condom broke, but was immediately replaced. The HIV risk exists but is still low, especially if your partner has tested HIV negative using reliable tests (Rapid/ELISA) after 54 days. HIV does not cause small white spots in the throat, mild body aches, or pain after a few weeks. Most early HIV infections are asymptomatic, and symptoms like fever, fatigue, or rash may appear 2–4 weeks after exposure, but many people have no symptoms. The white spots you noticed that cleared after gargling are not related to HIV. What you should do: - Consider an HIV test at 3 months (12 weeks) after the last exposure for confirmation; this is the most reliable window. Your friend’s loss of appetite may be due to thyroid issues or other causes; this is unrelated to HIV if her tests are negative. consult me if - If you develop persistent fever, unexplained rashes, swollen lymph nodes, or prolonged fatigue - If you want advice on post-exposure testing or further HIV/STI evaluation For further guidance and personalized treatment you may consult me on Practo anytime.
