Hi doctor My mother is of 49 years old. She is suffering from lot of bleeding during her menstruation. The period is lasting for more than 13days. This is happening from last year. In Nov 2020 she took some medicine so her period stops after that and came in July 2021. Is this her menopause symptom or something else. Perimenopausal bleeding can be irregular She can take pause , if not subsiding by this then need to put her on hormonal pills Also get evaluated with few blood and hormonal tests and sonography (should be done at this age if bleeding is excessive)
