Hello. Based on what you described, loose motions with abdominal fullness, fatigue, and pain during passing stool may occur due to intestinal infection, digestive disturbance, or bowel irritation. Since symptoms have been present for about 5 days, proper evaluation is important. In the meantime you may consider: • Keeping good hydration (ORS, fluids) • Eating light, easily digestible food • Avoiding oily or spicy meals Since the exact cause needs assessment, a detailed review would be helpful. You may book an online consultation for proper evaluation and personalized treatment guidance.

Your mother’s symptoms — loose motions for 5 days, abdominal fullness, pain during passing stool, fatigue, and rectal tightness — most commonly suggest intestinal irritation or infection, such as Acute Gastroenteritis or a temporary disturbance of gut movement. Sometimes, after repeated loose motions, the intestine becomes irritated and people can feel rectal tightness, abdominal cramps, and fatigue. In many cases this is a minor and self-limiting issue, especially if there is no blood in stool, no high fever, and no persistent vomiting. Her past Hysterectomy in 2022 is unlikely to be directly related to these symptoms now.
Next Steps
• Ensure she drinks plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration (ORS, coconut water, clear soups). • She can take ORS regularly after each loose stool. • A probiotic such as Saccharomyces boulardii or Lactobacillus may help restore gut flora. • Eat light foods: rice, curd, banana, khichdi, toast. • If symptoms continue beyond 6–7 days, or if she develops fever, severe abdominal pain, vomiting, or blood/mucus in stool, she should get stool examination and basic blood tests done and consult a doctor.
Health Tips
• Avoid oily, spicy, outside food, milk, and heavy meals until digestion settles. • Small frequent meals are better than large meals. • Fatigue and body pains can occur due to dehydration and weakness from diarrhea, so proper hydration is very important. • If she feels severe weakness, dizziness, or reduced urine, medical evaluation should not be delayed. If you want, you can also share her exact stool pattern, frequency per day, and whether she has fever or vomiting, and I can guide you more precisely on whether she needs medicines or further tests.

Loose motions for several days with abdominal discomfort can happen due to infection or stomach irritation. Make sure she drinks plenty of fluids/ORS and eats light food. If symptoms persist or weakness increases, she should be examined by a doctor. Please consult me for proper evaluation and treatment.

Based on the symptoms you described for your mother (50 yrs), this most likely looks like an acute gastrointestinal problem. Possible Causes 1. Gastroenteritis (intestinal infection) 2. Irritated bowel / intestinal inflammation 3. Constipation with incomplete evacuation 4. Pelvic floor spasm after hysterectomy Since she had hysterectomy in 2022, some women develop.
Next Steps
Take her to hospital if: Loose stools continue >7 days Severe abdominal pain Vomiting Fever Blood in stool Weakness / dehydration
Health Tips
Immediate Treatment (Home Management) 1. Hydration *ORS solution 2–3 times/day *Coconut water *Rice kanji / buttermilk 2. Medicines (commonly used) Racecadotril 100 mg twice daily or Loperamide (if frequent watery stools) Twice daily for 5 days 3. Diet Give light diet Rice, idli,Banana,Curd Avoid: Spicy food,Oily food,Milk,Street food.
