Hello , u need to understand what the issue is first. In pregnancy the water content of all bodily tissues increase in amount so its ok to have some amount of tightness and discomfort. This causes some swelling impinging on nerve thereby causing some symptoms. Same case occurs in Hypothyroidism. Pls get her thyroid checked. It will take some time for this to get relieved. Do try a bit of weight reduction it will help a lot.
