Wrist injury
It's my mom xray. She is 65 year old she is diabetic. She had a wrist injury 1.5 month ago. She got plaster but her wrist has swelling. What treatment could be done? If left untreated what happened to the hand?

Distal end of ulna is above than radius ( ur fractured bone), that's positive ulnar variance, that should have been corrected initially. Anyway bone is maluniting now. Let's not disturb it now. It should be ok to some extent after complete malunion. But too much work may cause pain and swelling hereafter.
