Of the pain is at the back region only it cant said to be sciatica. But if its travelling down the back of the thigh and down the calf and toes, its referred as sciatica.if the back pain increases in the morning, it can be a postural pain which generally occurs in case of long standing /travelling /sitting/computer or table work .

Hi,
Sciatica usually involves pain going down the legs and feet and many a times tingling and numbness down the legs.
Try and NOT to sit or stand in one position for more than 20 mins

See what increases the pain forward bending or backward bending
if you feel better with backward bending do that every two hours.
lie on your stomach propped on your elbows

1 avoid prolonged sitting , rather take vreak for 15 min for stretching yoyr body
2 use of back rest for regular chair u usually use at work
3 do strengthening exercises for back .
4 avoid too much forward bendong of spine
5 avoid lifting heavy weights
Try gentle lower back stretching exercises along with alternate heat and cold packs for 10 to 15 minutes. Focus on posture in sitting and sleeping..If pain persists consult a Physiotherapist for treatments such as ultrasound IFT, Manual therapy and exercises. Good luck
