"Burning pain and itching in the extremities (paresthesia), especially when it worsens at night, is a classic clinical indicator of Peripheral Neuropathy. Given your mention of borderline diabetes (Pre-diabetes), this may be an early sign of Diabetic Neuropathy, where elevated blood sugar levels begin to irritate the nerve fibers in the feet. Other possibilities that need to be ruled out include a significant Vitamin B12 deficiency or a localized fungal infection (Tinea Pedis), though the burning sensation points more strongly toward a nerve-related cause
Next Steps
"To review your sugar reports and decide if you need nerve-calming medication or high-dose Vitamin B12 supplements, please book a full consultation session via my Practo profile."

Burning pain and itching in the feet, especially at night, can be related to early neuropathy, vitamin deficiencies, fungal infection or borderline sugar levels.
