Pain in both knees
I have pain in both knees. Doctor gave calcium tablets for 1 month. After also pain is continued. Yesterday I went to orthopedician. he adviced to take an xray. After seeing that xray he told there is less cartilage thickness in both knee and vitamin d3 deficiency. Is it correct or not. My age is 31 years female and my weight is 57 kg.

Greetings of the day, As per the consultation the knee is showing early signs of arthritis, it's just the beginning. As per your age it's too early to have it. Calcium supplements are important to maintain the health of the knee, however it helps in pain reduction in the long run so it would be good if you continue them as per the prescription Along with this you need to start exercising regularly. Exercises that strengthen muscles around knee like knee press, knee curls, cycling are good.Activities like swimming and yoga will also help you. Avoid fast running or activities that load your joint i.e.your maximum body weight is taken on knees Check your BMI and start a weight reduction protocol accordingly Hope you find this helpful. Thank you
