Apply ointment mupirocin thrice daily and tablet coamoxyclav 625 mg 1 tablet thrice daily for 5 days. Maintain hygiene and contact a nearby physician if it does not resolve by 5 days. For pain, tablet paracetamol 650 mg can be taken after food.

For a fresh wound with severe pain on touch (no pus, not deep):
Apply this tube:
Mupirocin ointment (T-Bact) - 2 times daily for 5-7 days.
It is safe and works for most small infected/ fresh wounds.
For pain (topical):
Apply Diclofenac gel around the wound (not on the open area).
Keep the area clean, dry, and avoid friction.
I Go to a doctor if:
- Increasing redness
Pus
- Fever
Take tab cefi'xime 200mg one morning and one evening for 5 days.
Tab combiflam one every 8hours for 4 days, after meals.
Clean the wound with savlon solution and apply povidone ointment and dress it.
If injury was due to rusted iron or mud,or wound has been contaminated with mud, better take tetanus shot.
Apply ointment mupirocin twice in a day for atleast 5-7 days
To avoid any infection,
Take tab cefixime 200 mg bd for 5 days
Tab brufen 400 mg sos for pain
