Babies become as we are, if we eat chips infront of them they are bound to ask for it.
Eating habits develop at this age, it's always better to give healthy home cooked food. I understand in these days where mother is also working, try to make foods which can be stored for a week or two.
Also never bribe a child with chocolate or any other junk food this forms a habit and difficult to get rid off.
Next Steps
Give different foods with different textures. Introduce one item once and not to experiment 2-3 things at once. There are many recipes available online for toddler nutrition.

Dear parents,
According to me stop milk from 8amto8pm and give semisolid diet like Dal,dalia, khicdi alu kela rice, apple, upama, halwa, patolia, rab, kadi idle poha satu custard etc and from 80pmto8am give mother milk is preferable if not give top milk Withoutwater and add sugar as per your taste.
To start with stop milk for 4hrs for 15days and give semisolid diet next 15days stop milk for8hrs and give semisolid diet lastly stop milk from 8amto8pm and give semisolid diet.
For your knowledge 100ml milk gives 70calories of energy 100ml juices give 55calories of energy and 100gm of semisolid diet gives 350calories of energy.
As kid do not have molars give only semisolid diet
This age group they will be fussy in eating .you need to give tasty and variety of food . Quantity is less increase the frequency of food . Give home made food
