Care AI Shimmer
You can continue taking it for 6 - 12 months and after that get a consultation again from a psychiatrist regarding your symptoms and if you have improved the psychiatrist might consider tapering it based on your symptom profile

No need to worry at all. Trust your doctor. Escitalopram in such dose 5 mg for a long time has no side effects and dependence. It's safe and with your other medical comorbity as HTN, endometriosis it's a good choice as it has no interaction with other medications. Continue your medication with relaxation exercise, sleep hygiene and maintain follow up visit with your doctor where you can discuss your queries first

If you are symptomatic for any illness, you would require medicines. Do regular and frequent followups.
